Faraja is a Congolese dancer based in Goma (DRC). A multiple champion in several competitions in Goma, East Africa, and internationally, he has developed a hip-hop dance style that he blends with Afro-urban, contemporary, and traditional influences, forging a unique identity.
A major figure in Congolese urban dance internationally, he has performed, taught, and judged in many countries in Africa, Europe, and the United States. Jules, born on April 7, 1994, in Brussels, is a passionate dancer and physical therapist. He began graffiti and breakdancing at the age of 14, which led him to explore various styles of movement. After suffering several injuries related to his practice, he decided to train in physical therapy, obtaining a master’s degree from ISEK in 2018.
Over the years, he has enriched his dance by incorporating martial arts such as Capoeira and exploring various disciplines such as Acro-dance and Hip-Hop. As a member of the “Above The Blood” crew, he participates in breakdancing competitions across Europe, reaching the top 16 of Red Bull BC One 2023 in Belgium.
Jules also broadened his artistic horizons by collaborating with companies such as Cie Abis on the shows “Dress Code” and ‘Beton’ and Cie No Way Back, which accompanied his solo “Layers.”
